Krista and Cordell: Together Forever

Two best friends have taken each other by the hand and started in on an eternity long journey of love, learning, amd family. Congratulations Krista and Cordell!

Jake + Mallory = Adventure

In less then two weeks these two awesome people will be married and off onto a journey of a lifetime.

They’ve know each other forever though. Mallory was Jake’s “best friend’s sister”. Jake was back visiting and they went on an impromptu date. Mallory wasn’t sure about him though and made sure she had her gun stashed in her purse, just in case… She’s just that kind of awesome. But, as it turns out, he’s an alright kind of guy, so she kept him around ;)

Congratulations Jake and Mallory!

DEVIN

Every once in a while I get to spend some time with my beautiful sister Devin and the camera always comes out sooner than later it seems!

BIRTH: LIAM

There are very few moments so special, so precious as when a child enters the world. For the parents it means a whole new life full of challenges but great rewards. The child is completely innocent and helpless as it enters our world, dependent on its parents for every need. There is a connection between parent and child that a camera cannot capture fully.

You can watch the video I prepared of their special day here:http://vimeo.com/38389989

Rallying to Paul

Given only a few days to prepare I would say Idaho put on a pretty good rally with over 2400 people in attendance. Now I don’t mean to go all political here but I would say that Dr. Paul has some really good points about how the country got off track and how to bring it back on track. The economy is only one part of that.

If you’d like to watch a video of the speech he gave follow this link to Part 1 of 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_K4IPUW6BQ&feature=plcp&context=C3ccd0aeUDOEgsToPDskIlYXLEDlKp1xc8Pbi4fBvl

Back To My Roots…

I’ve been shooting old school this last week with my Nikon F3HP and Kodak Portra 400 Color Film. It was film that got me into photography in the first place. At first I had a little point and shoot digital camera just like everyone else. Then my wife and I went to help her Grandmother clean up and pack up her house as she was moving out. In an old trunk I found a few old cameras. It was a treasure trove of sorts. Included was a Nikon Nikormat FT3. A great, old, all manual (except the light meter) camera. My Wife’s Grandmother very kindly gave the cameras to me. I quickly got some film and started shooting. Armed with the Nikormat, a Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 and some Walmart 35mm film I began a photo rampage that hasn’t stopped. Since then I’ve got a few more cameras and have created a few more photographs, both digital and film, but my first and true love is a 50mm lens and 35mm film.

Be on the lookout for new stuff coming soon.
